Cookie Policy

The short version 🍪
Bloom keeps this simple. We use a small amount of essential browser storage to make the planner work and to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't follow you around the internet.
What are cookies (and local storage)?
Cookies are tiny text files a website can store in your browser. Local storage is a similar browser feature that can hold a bit more data. Both let a site remember things between visits — like keeping you logged in, or saving your work on your device.
What Bloom uses
- Your planner data (local storage) — essential. When you use Bloom without an account, your tasks, habits, notes and everything else are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. This is what makes the planner work offline and keeps your data private to you.
- Sign-in token (local storage) — essential. If you create an account, a secure token is stored so you stay logged in and your planner can sync. Clearing it simply signs you out.
- Preferences — essential. Small settings (like your reminder time) are saved so Bloom remembers how you like it.
That's it. Because these are strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for, they don't require a consent banner under most rules.
What Bloom does not use
- ❌ No advertising or marketing cookies.
- ❌ No third-party tracking or profiling.
- ❌ No selling of your data.
Third-party services
A few trusted providers help run Bloom — our host (Vercel), database (Supabase) and, if you subscribe, a payment processor. These may set their own strictly-necessary cookies or storage to deliver their part of the service securely. They are not used to advertise to you.
Managing cookies & storage
You're always in control. You can clear or block cookies and local storage from your browser settings — every major browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) lets you do this. Note that clearing Bloom's local storage will remove any planner data saved only on your device, so take a 💾 Backup first if you want to keep it. If you have an account, your synced data stays safe in the cloud.
Changes to this policy
If our use of cookies or storage ever changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
